FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Anita Naleipoina’Ole Emayo-Rehbach
October 14, 1942 - January 2, 2018 Anita is survived by her loving husband, Ted Rehbach & 'ohana! She was born and raised in Hanapepe, Kaua'i. Anita loved living her life in the islands, although the past 4 1/2 years were in California while under a cancer treatment at UC Davis. Anita had so much aloha in her heart - she always gave without ever expecting in return. She was retired from the US Navy - her Navy career started as a reserve Nurse and was active duty during Desert Storm. She continued giving as a Nurse, retiring after 35 years at Kapiolani Hospital in Honolulu, in the Mother & Baby Unit (she worked in the ICU with the babies). Anita loved swimming, cooking, baking and she loved playing golf with Ted and friends. She loved to learn new things as well as sharing whatever she learned with such enthusiasm. Sharing her wisdom of her life (new and old) was just a small glimpse of the awesome woman she was. One of Anita's biggest loves was to learn and dance hula with all her hula sisters of Halau Mohala llima under Kumu Mapuana deSilva. During her 25+ years with HMI, Anita was in many classes (as she would dance as much as she could) she was also part of HMI na papa Hi'ilani & Hi'ikua courses. She was loved by so many! Arrangements under the care of Lombard Funeral Home, 1550 Fulton Ave, Sacramento, CA 95825. E lei no au I ko aloha (I will cherish your love as a beautiful adornment). Naleipoina'ole (a lei never forgotten) Donations in Anita's love and memory, can be made to UC Davis Cancer Center, Lung Cancer Research. https://give.ucdavis.edu/CCAD/CC48528

Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased
