Lincoln Takashi Higa
65, of Honolulu, passed away on January 2, 2018, surrounded by family. A Management Analyst at the Navy Environmental and Preventive Medicine Unit 6, Pearl Harbor, he was a graduate of Aiea High School (1970), the University of Hawaii, and Pepperdine University. He was a retired U.S. Army Major; former Instructional Specialist, Naval Education Training Command, Pearl Harbor; Writer/Historian, 14th Air Base Wing, Hickam AFB; Adjunct Faculty Member, Military Campus Programs HPU; Program Director, Hawaii Career Information Delivery System (Career Kokua) and a DOSH Admin/Tech Support Branch Manager with the State of Hawaii, Department of Labor and Industrial Relations; and DOE teacher. He was an active tennis player and team captain with USTA Senior League Tennis. He is survived by his wife, Natalie; daughter, Erin; son Evan; granddaughter, Taylor; brothers, Alvin, Dennis (Aileen), and Carlton (Joy) Higa; nieces and nephews, Cortney, Cale, Ashley and Landon Higa. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Wesley United Methodist Church, 1350 Hunakai Street.
