FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Michael Satoshi Mukaida
Michael Satoshi Mukaida74, died peacefully on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 surrounded by family in his home in Honolulu. Michael is survived by his loving wife Kum Ye Mukaida, his children; Kelli Mukaida, Tracie Kahooilihala, Johnson Mukaida, Michelle Mukaida, and Hana Mukaida; grandchildren, Michael and Alyssa Anduha, Leland, Lowen, and Leighton Kahooilihala, Ellie and Maddison Mukaida, and Reesyn Correa, and one great-grandson, Kaizen Perbera. Michael established Pacific Preferred Contractors Corporation in January 1983 and served as Vice President until his retirement in December of 2017. Michael also served on the Board of Directors for the Painting Industry of Hawaii. He truly enjoyed his job and treasured the love and support he received from his work family. His hobbies earlier in his life were crabbing, diving, and fishing. Michael later enjoyed singing karaoke, traveling to Las Vegas, and spending time with his family and friends. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 10:30 am at Borthwick Mortuary, at the Maunakea Chapel, followed by a funeral service at 11:30 am.
