Florencio “Larry” Pascua Calivo
92, of Ewa Beach, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2017 in Honolulu. Born on May 25, 1925 in Ewa. He was the second child of seven children from Manuel and Macaria Calivo. As a young man, Larry was drafted into the Army for the duration of WWII as a cook. Following that he learned the trade of Journeyman Electrician where he worked for 40 years at Barbers Point Naval Air Station for Public Works Center. Part-time he worked at Iroquois Point Mini Mart until the age of 82. Larry enjoyed chicken fights, playing cards with family and friends and tending to his yard. He was married to his beautiful wife Juanita Altar Calivo (deceased) and they have one daughter, Laurene (Roehl) and one hanai son Ronald Rivera Sr. Larry is survived by 3 grandchildren: Luke, Lacy and Lance; Brothers: Alfredo (deceased), Andres, Patricio; Sisters: Aurelia Estaniqui, Rose Baker (deceased), Beatrice Estaniqui; Beloved pet dog: Princess Leia. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 91-1004 North Road, Ewa Beach. Public viewing from 9:30-10:30 am. Service to begin at 10:30 am. Lunch will be served in the Breezeway after service. Burial to follow at Mililani Memorial Park & Mortuary at 1:30 pm. Aloha and Casual attire. Flowers are welcomed.
