LOUIE VILLANUEVA TAMORIA, SR.
LOUIE VILLANUEVA TAMORIA, SR. Louie Villanueva Tamoria, Sr. was born on January 30, 1927 and passed away on January 26, 2018. He joined the US Navy on November 5, 1945 and retired 22 years later on January 10, 1967 serving during WWII, Korean War, Cuban Crises, and Vietnam. He received the Good Conduct Medal Fifth Award on July 1, 1961. He received an Associates of Science in Management from the University of Hawaii in 1976. After he retired from the US Navy, he worked as a manager for the US Navy Exchange. He was a man of faith, action and compassion who believed in the value of education, lifelong learning, and taught "practicing excellence" in all endeavors. He is survived by his wife, Hilda Rivera Tamoria, his daughter, Shirley Ann Tamoria, MD; his son, Stanley Tamoria, his daughter, Talia Cardines, (Darryl), and his great-grandson, Johnathan Tamoria (Kristine) and great-great- granddaughter, Xiaryah and new great-great-grandson, will be Xian Louie. He has four grand- sons, Kris Tamoria (five great grandaughters: Heavenly, Serenity, Kassidy, Harleigh and Hayleigh) Brandon, Micah and Keoni Tamoria His second son, Louie Tamoria, Jr has three daughters, Denise Kaimana (Anderson) Joyce and Kandis. His youngest son is Alexander Tamoria (Christy) and their daughter, Chrystal. He has three living siblings, Ricardo Tamoria (Herminia), Nellie Andres (Antonio) and Dominador Tamoria (Cecilia). Wake (Celebration of Life) at Borthwick Mortuary, Wednesday, February 7, 2018 4:00-5:00 PM (Visitation), 5-6 (Service). Funeral Mass at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Aiea 9:30 AM on Thursday February 8, 2018. Burial to follow at Veterans Memorial Park at Punchbowl at 11:30 AM. Aloha attire.
