Romana Gamata Fontanilla
86, of Honolulu, passed away January 11, 2018 at Pali Momi Medical Center. She was born in Aparri Cagayan, Philippines on February 6, 1931 and was a housekeeper at the Ala Moana Hotel for over 35 years, a member of the AFL-CIO Local 5, and an active and devoted parishioner of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She is survived by children, Lorna (Jose) Cabudol, Jacqueline (Paul) Javier, Steve (Aloha) Fontanilla and Ranjah (Patrick) Jimeno; 13 grandchildren, 4 great- grandchildren; brother, Felino Gamata; niece, Demetria Gamata Cabrera. Wake services Thursday, 2/15/2018, at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary. Visitation 5:30-9:00 p.m.; Catholic prayer service and remembrances 6:30 p.m. Additional service Friday, 2/16/2018, at St. John the Baptist Church.
