ALBERT PAUL KRUCK
Paul, 81, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2018 in Kailua. He was born in Ohio and was a U.S. Army Veteran. Paul began his artistic career working for Lockheed in Washington producing drawings of their airplanes. He moved to California and worked for Disneyland and developed a great love for Disney and their characters, theme parks, movies and also acquired an extensive Mickey Mouse collection over the years. He next worked for Liberty House in California and then transferred to Liberty House Hawaii. Following his talent in set creation and design, he went to work for Attco, a show and events company in Hawaii and continued in the same line of work with Cove Expo. Paul then became co-owner of Show Connection, an event company whose largest client was the Hawaii Visitors Bureau. Paul traveled around the world with HVB designing and managing set displays representing and promoting our beautiful Hawaii. In 1997, Paul joined International Convention Services where he was instrumental in making it the largest and most successful event company in Hawaii. He utilized his artistic creativity and talents in developing unique and beautiful sets and show themes, with hand drawn and computer designs and graphics. He retired in 2017 due to health reasons. Paul was loved by many for his remarkable sense of humor and wit! He made everyone laugh, regardless of the situation and just wanted happiness and joy in all our lives! He is survived by his brother, Edward Kruck, beloved niece Joyce Collins, many wonderful nieces, nephews and forever friends. Deepest appreciation for the care and compassion given to Paul by Dr. Ajay Bhatt, Dr. Michael Yee, Adventist Health Home Care and Adventist Health Castle Medical Center and especially beloved hanai family Max, Alex, Laura, Gary and Matt.
