86, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2018 in Honolulu surrounded by her family. She was born on March 9, 1931 in Waimea, Kaua`i to Yenzo and Iwae Fukui Taniguchi. She was a retired DOE elementary school teacher. While Sabra enjoyed her world-wide travels, quilting and sewing, the light of her life were her grandchildren. She is survived and will be missed by her son Waylen and daughter Sabrina, son-in-law Cedric Akau, and granddaughters Kalei and Ke`ala; brother Dexter Taniguchi, and sisters Yukie Kato and Jane (Herb) Okamoto. Private services held.
