Franklin Cheadle Geiger
Franklin Cheadle Geiger, 89, of Honolulu, left earth for Heaven on February 15, 2018, and the earth grieved. He was a gentleman with an integrity and a kindness this world so rarely finds. Born in Portland, Oregon on September 29, 1928. There he earned his MBA and JD, and worked as Vice President and Controller at Meyer & Frank. He arrived in Honolulu as new Controller at Liberty House in 1965, and later became President and CEO for Andrade, McInerny and Carol & Mary. He also helped found the Honolulu Chapter of the Christian Businessmen's Association, and in retirement continued to serve the community as a legal volunteer in several capacities. What mattered to Frank, as a Christian, was honoring God as best he could, and he quietly did so without complaint or seeking recognition. He was a faithful family man to the love of his life, Doris Kametani Geiger, with whom he shared 43 happy years of marriage. He is survived by children Jonathan (Debbie) Kim, Franklin (Xiena) Geiger Jr, Stephen (Katie) Geiger, Wendy Kim, Laurie Geiger (Eric Thostenson), Gregg Geiger, and Carolin Geiger; sister Sylvia (Harry Feyen); 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. "He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?"
