84, of Wahiawa passed away peacefully on November 10, 2017 in New York surrounded by his friends. Born in Wahiawa on August 8, 1933 to Edward and Natsue Matsusaka, he graduated from Leilehua H. S. and Michigan State University. He enjoyed a long career as an actor and singer under his stage name Tom Matsusaka. He appeared on Broadway with Janis Paige in "Mame", in the original cast of "Pacific Overtures", and was a member of Pan Asian Repertory Theatre. He is survived by sister-in-law Jane Matsusaka and sister Marie Matsunami; nephews Scott Matsunami and Mark Matsusaka and nieces Renee Matsunami, Vicki Matsunami, and Sharon Matsusaka-Brewer. A private memorial service was held in New York and Inurnment in Hawaii.
