Victor Kaiwi Pang
Victor Kaiwi Pang, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2018. He was 80. Kaiwi was a charter member of Ainahau o Kaleponi Hawaiian Civic Club and founded the Mainland Council of the Association of Hawaiian Civic Clubs, serving as its first Council President. Kaiwi grew up in Wailuku, Maui and graduated from St. Anthony High School (class of "56). An Army veteran, Kaiwi moved to California where he married his wife of 50 years, Jane Kaala Mock. He worked as a quality aerospace engineer on the Apollo and Space Shuttle missions with Rockwell International. He is survived by his wife, his 2 sons, Benton Kealiikiamoku, and Edmund Kamekona (Wendy); and 4 grand- children, Kiana Keakealani, Makena Kaleilokelani, Kalia Kamaluuluolele, and Tayden Kalua; sisters Lea Williams, Mei Mailou-Santos and brother Randy Saito. Victor was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Amoi Akiona and Peter Quon Cheu Pang, and his sister Denise (Hopkins). Services on May 11, 2018. Visitation, 10:30, Services: 11:30 am - 12:15 pm. at Diamond Head Mortuary. Lunch to follow on-site. Burial, 2:00 pm.
