93, of Honolulu, passed away on April 19, 2018. He was born in Kamakura, Japan on January 17, 1925. He was a retired Bishop of Kotohira Jinsha of Hawaii. He is survived by sons, Kazuaki Takai and Karl (Grace) Takai; daughters, Cathleen Mari (Russell) Komoto and Christine Fumie Takai; 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Setsuko Doris Takai. Private family services.
