97, passed away in Honolulu, Hawaii on March 19, 2018. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Y Masuda. Born in Los Angeles, California to Kishiro and Muku Sakamoto, the family of eight children lived on a farm in the San Antonio Township of Montebello, Los Angeles County. During the war the farm was taken from them, the family separated. Betty stayed at Manzanar. She is survived by a daughter, Naomi Y (Wayne) Tonokawa and two grandchildren; also survived by many nephews, nieces and other relatives in California and across the United States.
