AKONI K CRUZ, JAHKONI Our beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, Akoni Cruz, 33, passed away on April 27, 2018 in leeward Oahu due to injuries suffered from an automobile accident. His Celebration of Life will be held on May 19, 2018 at noon at Nanakuli Beach Park (Kalanianaole) followed by the scattering of his ashes in the ocean. Akoni was born on July 8, 1984 in Honolulu and raised by his parents, Lynette Cruz and the late James Nakapaahu, in Palolo Valley. He was a proud member of the Palolo Boyz and Hawaii Moped Outlaws, and worked at Aloha Poke in Waianae. He is survived by the extended Cruz ohana in Waianae, the Nihoa ohana in Nanakuli, the crew at Aloha Poke, the 420 crew, the Palolo Boyz, Hawaii Moped Outlaws, the Rhode Island ohana, the Big Island cousins, the Nakapaahu ohana, the Ohana Style Snack Company, Party Boyz Productions, the Dab Boyz Club crew, the Aloha Extracts crew, the Arnada Nation Crew, and countless others who have enriched his life throughout the years.
