Mildred Leong Kaulukukui, “Millie”
MILDRED LEONG KAULUKUKUI, MILLIE Passed away peacefully the morning of April 18, 2018 at Hospice Hawaii in Kailua, at the age of 98, with her son at her bedside. She has ascended to Heaven to join her beloved husband Joe and is survived by her only child, Joseph Kaulukukui Jr., who lives in San Rafael, California. Millie worked as a book keeper for the House of Kalai that was owned by her brother Tommy Leong. She spent most of her marriage as a homemaker and mother caring for her family and home in Kailua. She loved to knit and sew and was also an excellent cook. She and her husband lived on Kwajalein Island for 12 years, returning to Kailua after Joe retired. Following his death, Millie eventually moved to Pohai Nani in Kaneohe. Services will be held on Wednesday, May 23 at 10:00 am at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary, Kaneohe. Casual attire.
