Alejandro “Alex” Baysa Garcia
78, Georgetown, Texas resident, originally from Ewa/Waialua resident, retired from the State of Hawaii Department of Transportation with more than 20 years of loyal public Service, died on May 10, 2018 following a lengthy illness. A visitation will be held at 5:30 p.m. following memorial wake service on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Mililani Memorial Park and Mortuary Mauka Chapel. A funeral mass will be held at Resurrection of the Lord Catholic Church, Waipahu on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 9 a.m. and interment service to follow at Mililani Memorial Park Mortuary. Mr. Alejandro Garcia was born on January 11, 1940 in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. He was an active member of Geodetic Engineer of the Philippines and knights of Columbus, Philippines. In addition to his wife of 45 years, Sonia Saturnino Garcia, he is survived by his sons, Genard Garcia, Aris Garcia; his daughters, Edonna Garcia Sharpe and Gerona Garcia Douangphouxia; and 9 grandchildren; his brothers, Constante Garcia, Agapito Garcia, Francisco Garcia, Rodolfo Garcia, and sisters; Estrella Redira, Victoria Cristobal and Asuncion Mingming.
