91, of Kahului, Maui passed away on May 22, 2018. Tomoko was born in Puunene, Maui on December 25, 1926, to parents Sakae and Tsuneyo Takemoto. She was preceded in death by husband Hiroshi. Loving mother of 5 boys, she worked at HC&S to support the family. She lived her life in quiet dignity and helped with growing orchids with Hiroshi. She was a member of the Wailuku Shingon Mission. She is survived sons Alan (Cheryl) Tokunaga, Roy (Nora) Tokunaga, Wayne (Amy) Tokunaga, Michael (Patricia) Tokunaga, and Kenneth Tokunaga; by grandsons Andrew Tokunaga, Chris Tokunaga, and Damon Tokunaga; and great granddaughters Alyssa Tokunaga and Sydney Shen; brothers Yoshiharu and Tadao Takemoto. The family wishes to express gratitude for the support and care received from caregivers Bella and Frankie Ariota and Islands Hospice.
