Nicole Hali’aaloha Gututala
On Saturday, May 12, 2018, our beautiful Nicole, age 25 and a mother of two young children, died in Jamestown, North Dakota. Nicole's ex-husband, Kevin Michael Hoff, Montpelier, North Dakota, was arrested the day Nicole died and has been charged with Nicole's murder. Nicole worked as a customer service representative for RealTruck of Jamestown. Born on January 23, 1993 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Wenonah Gututala and Lawrence Canape, Nicole grew up in Nanakuli with her parents, and in Kalihi with her maternal grandparents. She attended Pu`uhale Elementary School, and is a Class of 2011 graduate of Nanakuli High and Intermediate School. Nicole`s #1 love and passion were her children Jameson, 3, and Madelyn, 2, she loved them with all her heart and soul. Honest, loyal, creative, artistic, strong and gentle, with a positive attitude Nicole made long-lasting friendships. Surviving Nicole are her children, her parents, her siblings Pua (Mahlon) Kapule, Shayna (Kaimiloa) Mano, Tiarae (Kimo Akiu) Gututala, Leialohakekai (Rey Tabag) Gututala, Hokulani (William) Sotelo and Kamanakai (Sara) Canape, nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. Nicole was preceded in death by her brother Lawrence Canape Jr, her maternal grandparents Talima and Marjorie Gututala, and her paternal grandparents Richard and Beatrice Canape. Nicole`s service is on Thursday June 14, at Sacred Heart Parish (Church) in Waianae (behind the Waianae McDonalds), 85-786 Old Government Road, Waianae, Hawaii 96792. Visitation is at 3pm. Service at 4pm.
