89, died June 6, 2018 at his Pearl City home. Born in Hookena, South Kona on Jan. 17, 1929. Survived by wife of 63 years, Mildred; daughter Leila; sons Lloyd, Lewis and Leslie (wife Renee); grandsons Lennon and Bennett; brother Taro; sisters Riki Kubo, Mutsu Higa, Nao Fuchigami, Yae Yamashita, Yoi Endo and Amy Fujimori. He served 22 years in the U.S. Army, was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars, and retired as chief warrant officer 3. Upon retiring from the military, he worked in banking, real estate and property management. Service 2 p.m. - 2:15 p.m., Tuesday, June 19, 2018, National Cemetery of the Pacific, (Punchbowl), Upper Court. Dinner/visitation: 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 pm, Hosoi Garden Mortuary dining hall, 30 N. Kukui St.
