Laverne May Borges, 92, of Kailua, Hawaii, passed away on May 23, 2018 at Castle Medical Center. She was born on April 6, 1926 in Ola'a, Hawaii. She was retired from Enchanted Lake Elementary School with the State of Hawaii where she was lovingly known as "Granny" to many generations. Laverne is preceded in death by her husband, Edward S. Borges, Sr.; She is survived by her children: Juliette (Dick) Harrison, Edward "Skip" (Bernie) Borges, Sharon Borges-Colbert, Kenny Borges, Randy (Debbie Arevalo) Borges; Sister, Dorothy Zetrouer; 10 Grandchildren; 14 Great Grandchildren and one Great great grandson! Services for Laverne will be held on June 19th, 2018 at Hawaiian Memorial Park and Mortuary.
