Wilfred Edmund Wakinikona
WILFRED EDMUND WAKINIKONA AH TOU, SR. 82, of Kealia, Hawaii, died May 10, 2018 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Kealia, on February 22, 1936, he was a retired electrician for Mauna Kea Electric Company. He was a former employee of the National Park Service at Pu'u Honua O Honaunau. He was a member of Local 1186, IBEW, Ala Kahakai Trail, St. Benedict's Catholic Church and a U.S. Army veteran. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Ah Tou of Kealia; sons: Thomas Ah Tou, Sr., Wilfred Ah Tou, Jr., and Mervyn Ah Tou, all of Kealia; stepsister, Veronica Lawa'i Ha'ae of South Kona; brothers, Adrian (Yuri) Ah Tou of Keaau, Thomas (Viola) Atou of Kauai, Samson (Jeannie) Ah Tou of Ewa Beach, Oahu, Norman (Monique) Enos of Honaunau, Alexander (Sandra) Enos of Middle Keei, and Bennett Enos of San Francisco, California; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. An all night vigil will be held at 5:00 p.m. on June 29, 2018 at the family's residence, 85-4578 Mamalahoa Highway, Kealia. Visitation will continue at 8:30 a.m. June 30, 2018 at St. Benedict's Catholic Church in Honaunau. Mass: 9:30 a.m. with burial to follow at Kona Memorial Park in Holualoa. The family requests casual attire and flowers are welcome.
