FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Rae “Reiko” Santos
Rae Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunty and friend, Rae Santos 85, of Kailua was surrounded by family when she passed away peacefully on June 30, 2018 at Queens Medical Center. Always guided by her strong Catholic faith, she went home to Jesus and to the love of her life, Louis "Koko" Santos. Born and raised on Kauai, she lived a healthy, free-spirited, adventurous lifestyle; an arts & crafts enthusiast, gifted hairstylist, avid gardner, Rae was dubbed "Best Dressed" at both her alma mater, Waimea High and at the Windward Senior Day Care Center, from where she retired. Throughout her life with her husband and family, her enthusiasm, enjoyment and dedication to Sports of all types spanned many decades. Reiko lived her life with grace, humility and gratefulness, and leaves behind a legacy of goodness, faith, and unconditional love for her family, friends and everyone she has met. Survived by daughter Rayette (Dan) Whitford, sons Richard and Rex Santos, six grand- children (Kyle, Liana, Britt, Malia, Kala'i, Kulani), three great-grand- children, sisters-in-law, brother in-law, nieces, nephews and many friends. A Celebration of Life in Reiko's honor will be held on Thursday August 9th at St Anthony's of Padua, Kailua. Visitation: 9am, Service: 10am, Burial: 1pm at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery in Kaneohe.
