FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

John Sigmund Sax, II
John Sigmund Sax, IIJohn Sigmund Sax, II, age 76 of Wahiawa, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 23, 2018, at his home after a long illness. He was born in Los Angeles, California, on September 6, 1941, the only child of Ruth and Leland Sax. He spent most of his young life in Utah and California before moving to Hawaii after serving four years in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a longtime member of the Local 368-Hawaii, Laborers Union of North America. His favorite job was setting the dynamite during construction of the H-3 tunnel. Prior to his retirement in 1999 he was an instructor at the Laborer's Training School. He loved the ocean, hiking the mountains and off-roading, and staying informed about world affairs thru the internet. He was a stickler for the truth and had a wry sense of humor. He loved to argue politics and insisted that others think for themselves rather than follow the crowd. His family meant everything to him. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Patricia Sax; children: Lisa (Kaulani) Morris, John Jr. (Lucy), Jana Sax, Brandy (Danny) Nakamura, Verlene Ferriman-Pavao, Jonathan Ferriman, William Maynard, Rory-Anne Maynard, and Leilani Sax; grandchildren: Jordan, Jon, Kayla, Nolan, Jessica, Erica, Kainalu, Gavyn and Mason; great grandchildren: Cherish, Trevis, and Kyrie. His ashes will be scattered at sea in a private ceremony. ~ "Mi Vida Loca" ~

Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased
