FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Alohalinda “Linda” Villanueva Tongg
 Alohalinda Alohalinda "Linda" Villanueva Tongg passed away on July 11, 2018 after a courageous three-year battle with cancer. Born on Oct. 13, 1933 in Honolulu to the late Norberto C. and Adela (Perez) Villanueva. She graduated from Sacred Hearts Academy in 1951 and the University of Hawaii, Manoa. After graduation, she began her career as a grade school teacher. Linda taught for many years at Ka'iulani Elementary School. She also met many lifelong friends through her business. A dear friend described her this way: Linda was a beauty in every sense, but it was her inner beauty, grace and charm that could light up a room! She's left us a rich legacy and template for living life fully and well - an amazing role model who loved and was loved and admired by so many for all she did and was! She is sadly missed by her son, Russ Tongg, daughter, Kathy and son in law, Ed Felipe, only grandson, Tyler Felipe, sister, Luvi Lewis, niece, Solana and husband Jon Olsen, grand nieces, Raya and Jonnie Olsen. A celebration of her life will be held on August 18, 2018 at Diamond Head Memorial Park. Visitation 10:00 a.m. Service 11:00 a.m. Private burial to follow.
