Arnold Kauanaulu Pahinui
Age 80, of Waianae, passed away on June 30, 2018. He was born on September 1, 1937, in Honolulu. He attended McKinley High School. Worked for various trucking company, Mid-Pac Trucking, Hawaii Dredging and finally retiring from Grace Pacific, in January 2000. After retiring from Grace Pacific, he work at St. Rita - Nanakuli as the yard person. Where family and friends would see him working in the yard and honk their horn to say hello. He was affectionately known as "Unko Arnold" to his many nieces and nephews. He always welcomed anyone to his home to watch UH Warriors football games. His favorite NFL team was the San Francisco Forty-Niner's. He was an avid sports fan. He loved playing games, Chess, Dominoes, but especially card games "Paiute" and Poker, there was Poker Night on Saturday's at his home. He is survived by his children: Helen "Mele" Ahuna, Charles N. Ahuna, Abraham "Abe" Leedy, and Joseph "Napua" Ahuna. 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, numerous Nieces and Nephews! Services will be held: Saturday, August 18, 2018 at St. Rita Catholic Church, Nanakuli. Visitation 9:00-10:30 am, Service @ 11:00 a.m. Burial, August 23rd @ 1:00 p.m. at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements Provided By: Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary
