Kekia'iokawaokilakiaa'eikalewa Isaiah John Hett, KEKIA'IOKAWAOKILAKIAA'EIKALEWA ISAIAH JOHN HETT, KEIKIA'I Kekia'iokawaokilakilaa'eikalewa Isaiah John Hett was only 14 years of age when he passed away at Kaiser Moanalua Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii on August 3, 2018. Keikia'i was to start his Freshman year at Mililani High School. He was a member of the Mililani Junior Varsity Football team, where he showed great promise, and where his coach shared that he would someday win a college scholarship. His team held a memorial for him before their first game, which was televised on the local news. In his honor, they ran a missing-man formation, and a play that was designed just for him. Both Junior Varsity and Varsity won their games in his honor. In addition, his teammates dedicated their football season to this remarkable young man. As a young kid he grew up on Maui where he grew a passion for being out in nature, camping, the beach and hunting. He especially loved going to Lanai for the youth hunt where he caught his first deer. He deeply loved his family on Oahu and Maui. He went out of his way to spend quality time with his eight brothers and sisters and cousins, supporting them with kindness, generosity, laughter and unconditional love. He expressed these qualities with all he knew, including friends, family, teachers, coaches and anyone with whom he interacted.
