T. David Woo, Jr., passed away peacefully on August 13, 2018. He was born in Hakalau, Hawaii on October 30, 1944 to Dr. T. David Woo and Evelyn Goo Woo. He attended Riverside School, Hilo Intermediate, Hilo High and graduated from Punahou School. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern University, MBA from Golden Gate University and a law degree from University of California, Hastings College of Law. After graduating law school, he worked as an associate in U.S. Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy's law firm in Sacramento. He returned to Hawaii in 1975 and worked as an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Hawaii. In 1978 he was appointed Assistant Senate Clerk for the Hawaii State Senate and became Senate Clerk in 1980. He served in that position until 1996. After retiring from the Senate, he was in private practice and worked as a per diem judge and an arbitrator. He loved golf and traveling. He and his wife traveled all over the world until he was stricken by illness. He is survived by wife Donna, daughter Tiffany (Armond), grandsons, Zander and Ryker, sister Diane (Don) and brother Alden (Lisa). A Memorial Service will be held at Diamond Head Mortuary Chapel on Thursday August 23, 2018. Visitation: 4:00 p.m.; Memorial Service: 5:00 p.m. Aloha attire.
