Bravely served his country during WWII by volunteering in the U.S. Army's 442nd Regiment and was transferred to Military Intelligence. He worked as a civil engineer for the federal government and member of the Wahiawa Lion's Club. He is survived by wife, Hisae; daughters: Cheryl Kim, Valerie (Karl) Hozaki, Alma (Myles) Macadangdang; grandchildren: Lisa Kim, Jennifer (Benjamin) Nitta, Laurie Hozaki, Amanda Macadangdang, Sherie Hozaki, David Macadangdang; great grandchildren: Janice, Lucas, Kailee, Hayley; sisters: Chizuko Furukawa and Elaine Moriyama. Visitation: 5:30 p.m.; Service: 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Mililani Mortuary, Mauka Chapel.
