SEPTEMBER 09, 1928 - JUNE 04, 2018 Jacob was born to Doo Kau and Nellie Lau in Honolulu, the youngest of 11. He graduated from Kamehameha School for Boys in 1947. After serving in the US Army he married Mildred D. Thomas in 1953. Dad worked at Pearl Harbor Public Works Center until retiring in 1986. Dad and Mom were married for 53 years until she passed in 2007. Besides working, Dad enjoyed running, swimming, coaching little league baseball and playing softball. Jake is survived by children: Marlena, Thomas (Sheba), Ola, Walter, Petra (Barry) Kiki, Micaela (Colin), Licia (Michael Quinn) Dodie, Matt, Leyton (Lynn); 15 grand and great grandchildren; sister Dorothea Hannahs; and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 09, 2018 at Kuliouou Beach Park from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. ~ Aloha attire ~
