Age 79, passed peacefully at home with his loved ones on Admissions day, Friday, August 17th, 2018. He was "admitted" into heaven after a wonderful and full life. Born to Dorothy and Hon Sun Leong on June 20th, 1939 in Shanghai, China, he grew up in Honolulu, went to UH and later graduated from USC. He had a successful career at Dillingham Corporation, Braniff, World Airways, and DHL. Mike was also a judge of beauty contests, and an actor who was in the original Hawaii 5-0 and the Hawaiians movie. In retirement, Mike enjoyed playing bridge, spending time with his grandchildren, and travelling the world together with his wife, Joanna, and loved ones. Mike is survived by his wife, his son John, daughter-in-law Julianna, and his grandchildren Te Ara, Heikura, Mataora, and Aito Mana. His siblings include Nee Ling Sniffen, Irving Hee, Vincent Hee, Vernon Hee, Cynthia Fedors, Lester Hee, and Linda Lui. Visitation begins 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 8th, 2018 at Nu`uanu Memorial Park & Mortuary; Service starts at 9:30 a.m., burial at 10:45 a.m. Flowers are not necessary.
