FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

JUAN “JOHN” J. FERRER
JUAN 91 of Waipahu passed away on August 7, 2018, in Honolulu. He served the U.S. Navy during WWII and the Korean War. He retired as Petty Officer 1st Class after 20 years of service. On June 24th, 2018 the U.S. Congress awarded him the Congressional Gold Medal. He is survived by the love of his life Fernanda 'Ferie' Ferrer. They were married for nearly 67 years. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren. Daughter, Janet (Kenneth) Andrade, Grandsons, Kenn and Jedd. Daughter, Ferna (Myles) Yamamoto. Granddaughters, Mylen (Ron) and Felicia. Son, Jicky (Marla) Ferrer. Grandson, Myca (Lorraine). Son, Franklin (Leanne) Ferrer. Granddaughter, Ka'iulani and Grandson, Keolala'i. Son, Jeffrey (Sumiyo) Ferrer. Grandson, Keoni, and Granddaughter, Hali'a. Wake Service: Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018, at Mililani Memorial Park's Mauka Chapel. Visitation will be 5:30 pm followed by prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Services on Thursday, September 20, 2018. Visitation: 10:15 a,m.; Mass: at 11:00 a.m. at The Resurrection of the Lord Catholic Church (94-1260 Lumikula St., Waipahu, HI 96797) Burial: 1:00 p.m. at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (2177 Puowaina Drive Honolulu, HI 96813). Casual Attire.
