FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Miles Y. Noguchi
Miles Y. NoguchiMiles Y. Noguchi was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, and graduated from McKinley High School. He served in the US Army for 20 years and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal with Oak Leaf Clusters, Meritorious Service Award, and other service awards and decorations. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the US. He was a substitute/guest teacher in Clark County, Nevada for over 20 years. He enjoyed performing sleight of hand magic tricks to encourage and motivate his students. As a victim of Agent Orange, he died from severe complications of leukemia and diabetes. He was preceded in death by his parents Alex and Yuki Noguchi. He is survived by his brother Russel (Karen) and sister Susan (Arnold) Imamura; nephews Ryan (Andrea) and Reid (Christine) Noguchi, Kevin (Stacie) and Jarrett (Karie) Imamura; grandniece Julia Noguchi; and uncles Robert and Jack Hinazumi. He also leaves behind his best friend ever, Denise Shook and caregiver Lourdes Apumayta. A Ceremony with full military honors was held on August 20, 2018 at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nevada. A Private Memorial was held for family and friends in Honolulu.
