Marvin Kwock Chin Chun
Age 83, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 3, 2018, at Kuakini Geriatric Care in Honolulu, surrounded by family. Marvin was born August 22, 1935, in Honolulu, to John S.K. and May You Chun. He was a graduate of St. Louis High School and served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked as a jet engine technician at Hickam AFB for 36 years, until retiring in 1996. Marvin was devoted to his family, prioritizing his children's education above everything. He was a problem-solver, who never failed to find creative ways to fix things around the house. He enjoyed bowling, listening to music, crossword puzzles, and watching football on TV. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. Marvin is survived by his wife, Maxine Michiko (nee Nishiyama); his children, Maria (Todd Kuniyoshi), Marvin, Jr., and Melissa; and grandchildren, Evan and Emma Kuniyoshi. Services were held at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Inurnment was at (Punchbowl) National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. Arrangements Provided By: Hosoi Garden Mortuary
