Maureen Haunani Giron, “Nani”
MAUREEN HAUNANI GIRON, NANI Age 62, of Kailua-Kona passed away on September 9, 2018 at her residence. She was born in Honolulu and was a waitress at Sizzler's, Pizza Hut, Honokohau Harbor House, Maxwell Landing and Laniakea Cafe and the owner of Aunty Nani's Cafe. She is survived by husband Duke; sons Nalei (Genevieve) Furtado-Piko and Steven (Hyunjin) Giron; daughters Noelle (Keola) Taylor, Shantel (Kurt) Malina, Lisa (Melvine) Giron, Keikilani Furtado and Marcell (Brian) Drake; brother Joseph Piko and sisters Laida Kalili and Deidra Mae Furtado; 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 5, 2018, service 11:30 a.m. at Nuuanu Memorial Park & Mortuary-Chapel of the Flowers, burial 3 p.m. at Hawaiian Memorial Park.
