Age 80, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2018, at his home in beautiful Manoa Valley. Born in Honolulu, Donald graduated from McKinley High School and was employed as an engineering technician with 38 years of service at Pearl Harbor. In his golden years of retirement, Donald was a regular attendee at his grandchildren's performances and sports games, active member at numerous RADAU gatherings and sibling lunches, and an avid bus rider. He is survived by his wife, Linda Au; daughters, Darcie (Jon) Kawamura and Della (Michael) Belatti; sons, Dean (Janelle), Larry, and Lenny (Jenny); thirteen grandchildren; brothers, Daniel (Sau Jean) and Dave (Diane); sisters, Norma Lum and Velma (Francis) Fong. A celebration of Donald's life will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018, at Hosoi Garden Mortuary in Honolulu at 30 N. Kukui Street. Visitation from 10:00 am; service to follow at 11:00 am.
