Helen Honda Look
Helen Honda Look, 94, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2018 with her family by her side. Helen was born and raised on Oahu; the second of ten children of George and Shizue Honda. She retired after 35 years as an executive secretary at Hawaii National Bank. Helen had many interests including singing, baking, sewing, flower arranging - she excelled at all. She was especially passionate about music and enjoyed listening and singing to all types of music. She was also a celebrated baker known for her lemon bars and other sweet treats. Helen is now reunited with Yim Kai Look, her husband of 46 years. She is preceded in death by brothers George Honda, Henry Honda and Robert Honda and sister Betty Imai. Helen is survived by daughter Patti Look (Bill Finlay); grandchildren: Ryan Ridela (Cherene) and Heather Brown (Stanley Kim); great granddaughter Kaitlin Ridela; sisters Nancy Yanagi and Sandra Honda and brothers Richard Honda, Larry Honda and Gerald Honda. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 19, 2018 at Central Union Church, 1660 South Beretania St. Visitation is at 4:00 p.m. and Service at 5:00 p.m. Arrangements Provided By: Nuuanu Memorial Park & Mortuary LLC
