It is with great sadness that the family of Gerald Martin Roberts, 86, of Honolulu, announces his passing on Wednesday October 3rd, 2018. Gerry was born in Aberford, Yorkshire, England. He was the only child of Ethel and Martin Roberts. He held an undergraduate degree from Leeds University, UK and graduate degrees from Loughborough College, UK and Columbia University, USA. As an educator he taught in Trinidad and Tobago; The United Nations School, USA; London University, UK; The American Institute for Foreign Study, London, UK; and Wakefield District College, UK. He earned his Black Belt with the Karate Union of Great Britain. He is survived by his wife Harriet, daughter Jeanne, son Sean, and three grandchildren: Hanako, Aiden and Lili.
