Yvonne "Bonnie" (Armitage) Hodgins of Honolulu, born February 11, 1927 in Los Angeles, California passed away on October 8, 2018 in Honolulu. Yvonne was predeceased by her husband J. Stanley Hodgins and is survived by her two children Paul Armitage (Stephanie) of Kona and Lorna "Ana" Char (Ben) of Waimanalo. She is also survived by her two precious grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Yvonne was a life-time resident of Hawaii, graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1945 and worked for Hawaiian Electric before becoming a fulltime wife and mother. She enjoyed exploring every road she could whether it was here on O'ahu or on the Big Island where she lived for many years in the Volcano and Waimea areas; she cherished flora and fauna. A very heartfelt mahalo to the Home Care Solutions Staff at Hawaii Kai Retirement Center, caregiver Wayne Jezek, to the staff of Manoa Senior Care, and to Bristol Hospice Hawaii for their love and devotion to her care. Donations may be made in her name to The Hawaiian Humane Society, Hawaii Public Radio or Honolulu Academy of Arts. Private Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.
