Myrna “Aloma” Gomez Willis
85, passed away peacefully at her residence in Pearl City, Hawaii on October 28, 2018. She was born and raised in Laie on January 30, 1933 to parents Walter Enoka Gomez and Vaiolini Leota. Aloma graduated from Kahuku High School, Class of 1951, "GO RED & WHITE". She married Valentine Paul Willis on August 4, 1961 and moved to American Samoa where she raised their children. Aloma was the Reservations Manager at the Rainmaker Hotel for 30 years before retiring and moving back to Hawaii. Aloma is survived by her sons, Alapati Willis, Walter (Liua) Willis, Warren Willis; daughters. Debora (Steven) Willis Watson, Sonya P. (Robert) Sabatini, Beverly (Tasi) Sagapolutele, Nalani Willis, Jette V. (Phillip) Johnson; brother, Lambert "Buddy" Hiram; sisters Noreen Keahiolalo and Evanitta "Pinkie" Crowe. 45 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by daughter Ingrid Myrna Willis (April 21, 1961). Aloma is well-known as Grandma, Gma and GG. Services Saturday, November 17, 2018 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Laie Ward at 55-415 Iosepa St. Viewing 9 a.m.; Service 11 a.m. Burial to follow at Laie Cemetery.
