Allan L. Apana
Allan L. ApanaAllan L. Apana, 90 passed away at his Pearl City home on November 1, 2018. He was born on October 18, 1928 in Wailuku, Maui. He was a boarder- graduate of Lahainaluna High School and served 20 years in the U.S. Army. Following his retirement from military duty, he worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 20 years before retiring. Allan enjoyed playing ukulele and guitar, singing Hawaiian songs, and shared his music skills as a volunteer at Hospice Hawaii playing and singing for patients. He is predeceased by his wife, Sally S.P. Apana. He is survived by his daughters, Dee Dee Yabuta (Gary) and Cori Ballou (Michael), granddaughter Moana Garcia (Kawika), great-grandsons Kealii and Kapena, sister Carol Suganuma, brother Kenneth Apana, and nephews and nieces. Visitation 9:00 am; Services 10:15 am; Mass 11:00 am on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Pearl City. Burial on December 19, 2018 at 10:00 am at the Hawaii State Veteran's Cemetery. Arrangements Provided By: Oahu Cemetery Mortuary
