JESSE ITSUO KAJIWARA
Feb. 20, 1934 - Oct. 5, 2018 Jesse Itsuo Kajiwara of Waipahu, Hawaii, died peacefully in his home of natural causes. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Clara Momoe Kajiwara; 2 children, 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grand- children, and dog Hope. He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, and son Greg. The child of plantation workers, Jesse was born and raised at Damon Tract. He witnessed the bombing of Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941. He graduated from Farrington High School and UH Manoa. He served honorably and proudly in the U.S. Army as a Captain in the Chemical Corps. He was a top salesman for Snap-On Tools. He was a member of the Oahu Baptist Network for 60+ years, serving on numerous volunteer trips constructing facilities for the impoverished. He was a skilled handyman and construction worker, and loved working with his hands. He doted on his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and dog. He will be greatly missed. Public funeral & burial to be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019, at Mililani Memorial Park, Makai Chapel. Viewing starts at 9 am, service starts at 10 am.
