68, of Honolulu passed away peacefully on the morning of November 12, 2018. Born and raised in a small town in Nebraska, Ron moved to Hawaii in 1979 where he fell in love with the culture and the people. He committed his life to serving his community as senior pastor of Kaimuki Christian Church. His genuine dedication to the Lord, his family and others was a witness to believers and non-believers alike. His passion to tell others about the Lord's grace led to the growth of Kaimuki Christian Church and School, as well as his leading of numerous mission trips overseas. Ron lived life to the fullest, giving himself to his family and interests: golf, Nebraska and Green Bay football, reading, travel, motorcycle riding and fishing. Ron's life is defined by his devotion to his family. He is survived by father Gerald; wife (of 48 years) Deanna; sons Lance (Ilene) and Rocky (Anadara); grandchildren Colt, Callie, Brooks and Weston; and siblings Jerry Jr., David, Beverly and Joe. The Celebration of Life service for Pastor Ron will be on Saturday December 1 at Kaimuki Christian Church. Visitation: 9am; Service: 10am. Gifts in Ron's honor will be distributed by the family to global and local missions.
