90, slipped peacefully into eternal life on October 8, in Wahiawa. She was proudly Kahuku born and bred, but called Wahiawa her home for the last half of her life. Diane developed life-long, cherished friendships with her fellow workers at the old Cornet Store and Wahiawa General Hospital. After retirement, she volunteered at the WGH Thrift Store and Helemano Elementary School. She will miss talking story with her neighbors during her daily morning walks and drinking coffee with friends at the hospital cafeteria and McDonalds. She is survived by her children; Frederick (Teresa) Van Winkle; Donna (Susan) Van Winkle, Dorothy (Scott) Anderson, Diane (William) Simpson, Debra (Abraham) Danao; 9 grandchildren, 23 great- grandchildren and 5 great-great- grandchildren. The family expresses their deepest gratitude to the Long Term Care staff of Wahiawa General Hospital and Bristol Hospice Hawaii for their compassionate caring. Visitation 10am; Service 11am; on Monday December 3, 2018 at Mililani Memorial Park Mauka Chapel. Burial to follow.
