Suemi Nishi Yamada passed away peacefully at home on November 18, 2018. Born on May 15, 1933, she was a dedicated teacher, retiring after 35 years of service from the DOE. She met her husband, Masaru Yamada in Naalehu where they enjoyed raising their family and traveling around the world. After retiring, she continued her passions for learning and traveling. She is survived by her two sons, Edsel (and Fawn) Yamada and Asa (and Joanne) Yamada, her brother Hatsuo Nishi, two sisters Teruyo Fujikawa and Harumi Hirata and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Wesley United Methodist Church on Saturday, December 15th at 11AM with visitation beginning at 10AM. She will lay in rest with her husband at Punchbowl Memorial Cemetery. No flowers are requested. Arrangements Provided By: Hosoi Garden Mortuary
