Passed away on September 30, 2018, in Honolulu at the age of 106. She was born on June 15, 1912 in Honohina, Hawaii. Tamayo retired as a seamstress at Watumull's Hawaiian Wear and was very active as a member of Jodo Mission Fujinkai. She attended flower arrangement and tea ceremony classes at the church. Once a week, she attended Moiliili Community Center Day Care and two senior citizen groups. Predeceased by husband Tadao Nakamura, she is survived by her son George (Joyce); three grandchildren - Dr. Craig Nakamura, Dr. Curt Nakamura, and Dr. Caryn Matsuoka; and great- grandsons Chasen and Cayden Matsuoka.
