102 of Honolulu, Hawaii passed away peacefully at home on November 5, 2018. She was born in Honolulu June 18, 1916, the eldest of 7 children of Kiichi and Tamayo Kuwahara. She graduated from McKinley High School in 1934 and married Edward G. Okutani in 1937. Kimiko and Edward were one of the pioneers of the silk screening business in Honolulu and owned and operated "Okutani Sign Service" for many years. They were also long time members of Holy Trinity and St. Mary's Episcopal churches. She was predeceased by husband Edward Okutani and son Edmund Okutani and survived by children George (Grace), John, Ruth, and Maude, daughter-in-law Marilyn; 6 grandchildren and 12 great- grandchildren. Memorial Service at Nuuanu Memorial Park, East Chapel, Sunday, Dec 16, 2018. Visitation 10:00 am, Service begins at 11:00 am. Burial, Monday, Dec. 17, 2018, 10:45am. No Flowers Please.
