FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Gail Yoshiko Imanaka
88, born December 12, 1929, to parents Toyota and Suma Haitsuka, passed away peacefully on November 9th, 2018. "Ama" as she was affectionately called by her grandchildren, was born in Kauai. She attended Beauty College and worked as a beautician, then in sales for a while. Later, following through on a dream to own her own business, she, opened a kiosk in Duke's Lane and store in the Coral Reef Hotel in Waikiki selling souvenirs and clothing. Preceded in death by her husband Henry, she is survived by her daughters Gayle Ann (Gary) Yamaguchi, Jeanean (Chester) Kaneshiro, Sharon Imanaka and son Mike (Laurie) Imanaka; nine grandchildren and two great-grand- children. Ama loved her crossword puzzles, reading the newspaper, playing scrabble, traveling to Las Vegas with her family and getting together for family gatherings-all the while enjoying her beverage of choice...coffee.
