Jeffery Kahaunani Lane
Age 63, of Kapolei, passed away on November 8, 2018 in Honolulu, with his family by his side. He was born on November 24, 1954 in Honolulu to Joseph and Leialoha (Bissen) Lane. He'll be remembered as a loving husband, beloved father, uncle, cousin and an amazing friend. He and his wife Robertha (Chai) were married November 30, 1985 in Las Vegas. They have 3 children, Prudence (JD) Quebatay, Kristina and Justin Lane. He is also survived by his brother Joseph Jr (Peggy) Lane and sister Ilima Lane. He is a proud graduate of Farrington High School, class of 1972. After graduation he became a member of the Ironworkers Union, Local 803 and later became their Training Coordinator. He furthered his education at Honolulu Community College and became an Assistant Professor of Welding at Honolulu Community College, where he worked for the past 35 years. He also taught for the Apprenticeship Division at HCC for several Unions, continuing education classes for private companies, and for the State of Hawaii at Halawa prison. He was a humble, kind, and humorous man who was committed to helping others. Services will be held on Friday, December 28, 2018 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 8:30-10:00 am. Prayer service will begin at 10:00 am. Burial will be at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park at 1:00 pm.
