May 1, 1927 May 27, 2018 Masumi passed away on May 27, 2018 in Beaverton, Oregon. She was 91. Born in Honolulu, she was the oldest daughter of Genki and Hisae Kitazaki. She retired from the Bank of Hawaii. She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Hasuike and granddaughter, Lisa; brothers: Walter T. Kitazaki, James S. Kitazaki, and George Kitazaki, as well as sisters: Kathleen Shimata, Florence Endo and Jean Tomita. She has been placed with her husband, Kazuo Shoma at Punchbowl National Memorial Cemetery. A private gathering is planned.
