83, of Honolulu, passed away at home on Dec. 10, 2018. Ethel worked as a bookkeeper for WT Yoshimoto and SHOPO. She served as treasurer for the Shimane Kenjinkai and was a long-time member of the Honolulu Nisei Bowling Club. Ethel is survived by husband Paul Uemura, Daughters Sandi (Jay) Murakawa and Carin (Kenny) Nishihara. Grandchildren Darci Murakawa (Miles Oyasato), Kristen Nishihara and Garett Nishihara. Great grandchildren Riley Miura, Kaenon and Zak Oyasato. Sister Ellen Kim and brother Lawrence (Dorothea) Yoshioka. Visitation at 5pm on Thursday Jan 10, 2018 at Hosoi Mortuary. Service at 6pm.
